JSR/ARP L15B7 HEADSTUD KIT ARP2000 SUPER ALLOY 220Kpsi
These head studs are manufactured from proprietary ARP2000 super alloy and heat treated to 220,000 psi. They are thread rolled after the heat treating process, which vastly improves their fatigue tolerance compared to studs threaded before heat treatment. High-quality, parallel ground washers and spacers are included. Exact tolerances ensure that gaskets and cylinder heads just glide into position and align perfectly.
Factory fasteners were not designed for performance use. The material chosen by the manufacturer for your engine was chosen to meet the criteria of a normally driven consumer vehicle at the provided stock horsepower and rev limit. The OE material is not optimum for a higher revving higher high heat or higher power engines.
Head studs hold your head and block together. As you make more power than your engine was originally designed to hold, the head and the block push apart from each other stretching the factory bolts and causing various failures.
ARP Head Studs are stronger than the factory fasteners, and are designed to keep your engine together under any almost any circumstance.
These studs are ARPs proprietary Super Allow metal and not their base head stud materials. This mean higher yield strength and higher tensile strength.

Installation Specs:
- Pre-lube the block portion of the threads lightly with ARP Moly Lube and Torque the studs in the block to 16lbs.
- We prefer to install the studs from the top once the head has been set.
- Torque Head Studs in sequence 30lbs, 60lbs, 80lbs.
